French Onion Dip is easy to make. Slowly Caramelize diced sweet onion of choice, then with sour cream, mayonnaise, black pepper, soy sauce, better than bullion beef base, parsley, and salt to taste, mix and then add the caramelized onions.
French Onion Dip
Easy way to make a good chip dip
Equipment
- 1 Frying pan wok or large frying pan or skillet
- 1 Mixing bowl
- 1 container with lid for final product
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 Sweet Onion diced
- 100 Grams Sour Cream
- 100 Grams Mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp Cream Cheese, softened, like melted
- 1 tsp Better than Bullion Beef Base
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/8 tsp Parsley, dried
- 1 splash Soy Sauce
- Salt To Taste
Instructions
- Dice onions and put with olive oil in heated pan
- Cook over lower heat until onions caramelize.
Notes
Caramelize the onions, meanwhile mix the Sour Cream, Mayonnaise and Cream Cheese together.
With a small amount of warm water, mix the Better Than Bullion Beef Base until fully melted.
Add to the Sour Cream mixture.
Add Pepper and Soy Sauce, Parsley, and Salt to taste.
Mix well.
When onions are caramelized add them to the Sour Cream mix and stir through.
Put into a refrigerator-able container, covered, for a day, then serve with chips, veggies, etc.
